The church will hold its first ever Pet Service on Saturday 11 September, and all are welcome to bring their animals along.
“I’ve always wanted to hold a pet service as I know many of our members, including my family, are keen animal lovers and would love to give thanks for these wonderful creatures that bring so much to our lives,” said Rev. Clive McKie. “There is so much material for an animal service and "All Things Bright and Beautiful” will definitely be the hymn of choice!”
The short service will be held on the forecourt of the church, just off the High Street, with dedicated seating areas for dogs and cats. Staff from the nearby Priory Veterinary Surgery will be on hand to ensure a peaceful service.
Afterwards pet owners and pets will be able to have their photos taken for the Community Mosaic which is being designed to hang in the new Community Centre.
