The Surrey Mirror of 21st January included a double-page 'Yesteryear' article on the history of the Rank Hall, to coincide with the beginning of redevelopment work. Using information assembled by Keely Harrison and Ian Hunt, the article features church members' memories of the opening ceremony, social events, youth-clubs, and of J Arthur Rank himself, during his time as Sunday School teacher. The many plays, musicals and other productions in the hall since 1954 are also remembered.
